Sharjah24: On Sunday, January 7th, the Al Dhaid field saw strong competition for the two-year-old camel race. The Sharjah Camel Racing Club organised the event, which is patronised by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
The race included 12 rounds covering a distance of 1500 metres for camels owned by tribes from the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Chairman of Sharjah Camel Racing Club, Matar Ali bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, said that the two-year-old camel race races take place every Sunday of the week to maintain the tradition and promote awareness among future generations.
