‘Fatamin’ Race’s start gun to shoots on Sunday in Al Dhaid

Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the “Fatamin” (Weaned Age) Camel Race by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club is to commence on December 17.

The participants consist of tribes from the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The first day is going to have 10 rounds over a distance of 1,500 meters, on the Al Dhaid Camel Racetrack.

Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club and General Coordinator of the Race, explained that the competitions will continue until the end of August 2024, held every Sunday every week. It will also be held in Al Rashidiyah Racetrack in Al Bataeh every Saturday, 6 rounds over a distance of 1,200 metres.
