Mateo Bories: SIAF mixes traditional crafts with contemporary art

He told “Sharjah 24” that the festival centres on the idea of mixing traditional ancient crafts with contemporary art. 

Talking about his participation, he stated that the concept is mainly to merge the ornament in the bottom of the rig with the faces and portraits using the symmetry of the rig and the face to make a perfect vision. 

Speaking about the name of his exhibition “seed and silk”, he said that the silk represents the fibre of the carpet and seeds refers to flowers as the carpet is seen a garden.
