Sharjah 24: Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Professor of Curricula and Methods of Teaching the Arabic Language, and Director of the Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) (Professor at Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities), participated in a committee discussing a master’s thesis submitted by the Egyptian student Hasna Hassan Al Mahdi, one of the students enrolled at the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo, enitled: The effectiveness of using digital scientific stations in developing some reflective writing skills in Arabic among students of the second cycle of elementary education.
Dr. Issa Al Hammadi was invited by the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo as he is one of the specialised professors in the field of curricula and methods of teaching the Arabic language.

Dr. Issa Al Hammadi has supervised many studies and research in the field of curricula and methods of teaching the Arabic language at ALECGS, in addition to his experience in teaching at several universities.

The study aimed to develop reflective writing skills among second-year middle school students by preparing a programme for using digital scientific stations. To achieve this goal, the student prepared a list of reflective writing skills for second year middle school students, a test to measure such skills (pre- and post-test), a teacher’s programme and guide. A website was designed according to the steps of the digital scientific stations, using the descriptive and quasi-experimental approach that suits the nature of the study in determining the skills available to the second year middle school students, the study sample.

Dr. Issa Al Hammadi extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies, praising the efforts and history of the Institute in supporting the scientific and educational process in the Arab countries.

Al Hammadi discussed the aspects of excellence in the study, which followed the descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach on the control group and the experimental group.

The researcher used digital science stations to develop some reflective writing skills as a collaborative strategy based on the use of educational activities for students in the reading, exploratory, electronic, and photo science stations.
