Sharjah 24: Under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, His Excellency Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, awarded graduation certificates to the sixth cohort of university students.
The graduation ceremony for the academic year 2023-2024 occurred at the University City Theatre. The event was attended by members of the Board of Trustees, the university chancellor, top officials, college deans, academic and administrative staff, as well as invited guests, ambassadors, and consuls accredited to the state.
The sixth cohort of graduates comprised 122 male and female students from the university's five colleges: the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the College of Arts and Humanities, the College of Economics and Management, the College of Communication, and the College of the Holy Quran.
Jamal Al Tarifi, the President of Al Qasimia University, delivered an address expressing gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the founder of Al Qasimia University. He acknowledged His Highness's contributions in making the university a distinctive model of intellectual and cultural diversity, as well as coexistence among various cultures and nationalities—a valuable asset for the students.
He noted that, guided and supported by His Highness, Al Qasimia University progresses with a clear vision towards development and achievement in buildings, faculties, and programmes. The university possesses significant resources ensuring the sustainability of its development and services. Consequently, joining and studying at Al Qasimia University has become a dream and hope for many students from different countries around the world.
His Excellency Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, delivered a congratulatory speech to the graduates and their families. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, on the occasion of the graduation of the sixth cohort of university students. He emphasised the university's commitment, through its various councils and the efforts of its staff, to provide the best environment for its students.
Dr. Awad Al Khalaf highlighted a number of the university's achievements in the fall semester of 2023/2024. He also highlighted the qualitative and significant conferences and events held during this academic term, aligning with the university's global mission. Additionally, he pointed out the success of the university's students and academic faculty members in winning several regional and international awards.
