Ali Saeed Al Ketbi, the Council's Secretary-General, also attended the meeting.
Final approval was provided during the meeting for the revisions to the executive regulations of the year's Public Cleanliness Law No. 2. The council suggested that the regulations and the related infraction schedule be sent to higher authorities for guidance.
The council also discussed a proposal for an Executive Council draft resolution governing the cultivation of conocarpus and neem trees in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The council had previously endorsed the Planning and Development Committee's initiative, which aimed to shed light on the significant challenges faced by government service entities due to the cultivation of harmful trees inside and outside homes and occupying road spaces, impeding their work.
The council recommended that the draft resolution be sent to the Department of Municipal Affairs for consideration by the Executive Council.
