Sharjah24: Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Kalba Electoral District Committee, affirmed that the first day of the voting process in the 2023 Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) elections witnessed a remarkable turnout at the ballot boxes in Kalba.
Chairman of the Kalba City Electoral District Committee, told Sharjah 24 that early in the morning, male and female citizens of various age groups who meet the requirements and are registered on the voter lists flocked to the electoral headquarters to cast their votes and select candidates for SCC.

He explained that the Supreme Elections Committee, in cooperation with the Kalba Electoral District, and partners, worked to provide all the elements for the success of the voting process with flexibility and ease, and in a few minutes.

Al Naqbi pointed out the provision of trained guides to guide voters and introduce them to the mechanisms of in-person or electronic voting through a workshop that runs in conjunction with the times allocated for voting, which extends from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for 3 days.

He added that the Supervisory Committee had prepared in advance and was working around the clock to provide the necessary security and media support to guide and assist voters.

In conclusion, the Chairman of the Kalba City Electoral District Committee urged the residents, who are members of the electoral college, to participate in the emirate’s electoral event and to choose the candidates who represent them in decision-making.
