Sharjah24: His Excellency Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, received in his office at the Council’s headquarters His Excellency Gerard Paul Marie, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the country, and a delegation representing the Ajax Amsterdam Club Academy, as part of discussing ways of continuous cooperation at the sports level between the emirate and the Netherlands at the club level, administrative development, and the exchange of experiences between the two sides.

During the meeting, His Excellency Gerard Paul acquainted with the role of the council in supervising sports in the emirate and the sporting achievements in all club games, as Sharjah includes the largest number of sports and specialized clubs and sports projects that aim to develop and cooperate with federations, clubs and international institutions to invest in the great potential that the emirate has at the sports level. 

His Excellency Issa Hilal pointed out that receiving the Dutch Ambassador and the Ajax delegation represents an extension of the cooperation with the Dutch side, which results in leading to further development that the council aims at all administrative and technical levels, highlighting that its results will appear in the near future, as one of the Council’s strategic policies is to explore foreign expertise and to exchange it with the council . 

His Excellency Paul conveyed his enthusiasm for the opportunities that sports in the emirate have, as well as the special partnership that exists between the Sports Council and Ajax Club, which is advantageous to both organizations in this regard. He applauded the Sharjah Sports Council's vision and consideration for shaping the future of sports and encouraged further collaboration in the upcoming years.
