Sharjah24: Amid an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, 296 people participated in the sports festival that was arranged by “Sharjah Children” of Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators, in partnership with the Al Bataeh Sports and Cultural Club and Al Bataeh Municipality.
Targeting boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12, the festival was hosted in the Children's Centre in Al Bataeh and included participants from the city's children's centres as well as those in the central and eastern areas.
The event included a range of fun activities and sports challenges for both boys and girls, creating an energetic athletic environment. Boys' events included football, jogging, athletics, and fitness tests among other competitive activities. In the meanwhile, the girls engaged in a variety of sports, including swimming, athletics, long jump, and wheelbarrow races.
At the end of the festival, all of the participating teams received commemorative medals in front of the parents of the children as well as the technical and administrative team from the festival organisers.
