Sharjah24: Several programmes and workshops were held by "Sharjah Children," an affiliate of the 'Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, to educate children on the importance of preserving the environment for future generations.

Twenty boys and girls participated in the "Organic Farming" programme run by "Sharjah Children" in conjunction with the "Manbat" Farmers' Market. The programme's objective was to provide them with a foundation in science and organic farming by educating them about the life cycle of plants, the benefits of using organic fertilisers, the different types of soil, and introducing them to local organic farms and the markets that buy the crops. The children learned how to sow crops, take care of them, and finally harvest them.

The "Smart Sustainability" workshop educated children about the value of being environmentally conscious and helped them develop habits of responsible waste disposal. In addition to learning how to create works of art, they were taught how to recycle plastics and turn them into "filament" or 3D printing threads.
