During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on GAIAE plans to perform its important roles in religious guidance, spreading Islamic culture, managing mosques and all competences that support the organisation of Islamic and endowment affairs, to raise community awareness and the ability to deal with contemporary challenges.
His Highness also learned about the most prominent Islamic initiatives and activities organised by GAIAE across the UAE, and the efforts it makes in caring for mosques, memorising the Holy Qur’an, and managing Fatwa affairs.
The meeting discussed the joint efforts between GAIAE and the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, which contributes to strengthening the efforts made to raise religious awareness and provide the appropriate environment for preachers and imams.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of GAIAE; Abdullah bin Yaroof Al Sabousi, Head of the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah; and Muhammad Saeed Al Neyadi, Director General of the GAIAE.
