Sharjah24: Professor Mohammad Ayish, Department of Media Communication, American University of Sharjah, addressed a panel discussion tackling media education and the role of AI in an exclusive interview with "Sharjah 24" during the second edition of the Global Media Congress.
"I just participated in a panel discussion about media education and the state of media education," he stated, "in which some of my colleagues from New Zealand, China, and the United Kingdom also participated."
The primary topic of discussion was the impact that AI is having on the field of media education. Session participants agreed that AI causes significant disruption and that AI has the potential to improve media education, but only if steps are taken to ensure that students are adhering to both academic integrity and professional standards in their work.
