Sharjah24: The Voluntary Work Centre, a part of Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), took part in the "Violation-free Beaches" initiative, organised by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in collaboration with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and the "Takaful" Social Volunteering Programme.
The event occurred on November 11, 2023, at Al Hira Beach, where the centre’s volunteer team dedicated considerable efforts to clean the beach and contribute to environmental preservation. The team is gearing up for more work at Khan Beach on November 17, 2023, and Mamzer Beach on December 5, 2023.

This involvement is within the framework of ongoing initiatives to contribute to environmental protection and enhance the quality of Sharjah's beaches, aligning with a national initiative conducted at the state level.

Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, emphasised that these voluntary activities aim to showcase collective efforts and ensure the success of events hosted by the United Arab Emirates. This is particularly crucial in anticipation of the International Conference on Climate Change "COP 28," scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 12 at Expo Dubai—an international conference uniting efforts to address the repercussions of climate change.

Hessa Al-Hammadi expressed pride in the volunteers from the Sharjah Voluntary Work Centre for actively participating in this national opportunity. The centre collaborates closely with government entities to raise environmental awareness and actively engage in environmental initiatives.
