Sharjah24: Tariq Al-Khawaja, cultural advisor at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture “Ithra”, affirmed that the center’s participation in the 43rd edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) displays a three-dimensional model of the center’s elements.
Tariq Al-Khawaja stated that the center’s pavilion at the Sharjah International Book Fair displays all the places that the public can visit at the center, in addition to a special section using augmented reality technology, through which the visitor travels to the “Ithra” library to get acquainted with the programs and initiatives offered by the center.
Al-Khawaja added in statements to Sharjah 24 that the pavilion provides an introduction to the reading competition, specifically the reading marathon, and visitors can find the tree in the pavilion that presents readers’ contributions to planting trees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the Green Saudi Initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He added that visitors to the Sharjah International Book Fair can access the Ithra Digital Library and its 34,000 titles, which is open to everyone, without obtaining a library membership.
