Sharjah 24: The Al Hamriyah swimming team shined in the UAE Swimming Federation’s Emirates Cup Swimming Championship, which was hosted today, Sunday, at Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai, with the participation of 590 swimmers representing 23 government clubs and private academies.
Al Hamriyah swimmers won 33 colourful medals (8 gold, 14 silver, 11 bronze), in addition to two cups (best swimmer, second place in the overall standings).
Salem Al Khayyal, member of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Club, Chairman of the Individual Games and Talented Care Committee, congratulated the swimming team on their achievement, praising the performance of the players and the team in general.
The team’s technical director, Ahmed Jamal Al-Din, thanked the Board of Directors of Al-Hamriyah Club for harnessing all the potential for success for the team, promising to achieve more successes during the upcoming tournaments.
