Mauritanian Literature Festival discusses 'Shinqiti' narrative

Sharjah 24: As part of the activities of the Mauritanian Literature Festival, the House of Poetry in Nouakchott saw the second day of the festival, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, organised by Sharjah Department of Culture (SDC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Mauritanian Parliament.
The second session was attended by His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of SDC; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in SDC; and a large number of Mauritanian and Arab intellectuals and writers, in addition to university and institute professors, students and fans of Arabic narrative and poetry.

The second day saw presentations by many writers in topics that shed light on the history, and short stories in Mauritania on the one hand, and the Mauritanian novel from its founding to the contemporary scene on the other hand, as well as "Shinqiti" narrative.
