Sharjah 24: On September 9 and 10, the UAE Archery Federation held a competition at the Sharjah Police Club, where the Al Hamriyah Archery team placed first and won two medals.
Mohammed Ahmed Abdullah came in second in the Compound Bow Youth Under 21 competition, earning himself a silver medal. Abdullah Khaled Al Tinaji, another member of his team, placed third in the Recurve Bow Youth Under 18 competition, earning himself a bronze medal.
Abdullah Khaled, in particular, improved his previous record by 14 points to earn a new best score at 60 metres.
Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club director Hamid Hassan Al Shamsi congratulated the winning players and the full team on their outstanding performances in the new season.
He stressed that the club's management would spare no effort in supplying the archery team with the tools they need to keep winning tournaments and bringing hardware back to the clubhouse.
