Sharjah 24: Sharjah Radio persists on the creative path by providing distinguished and diverse media content that meets the interests and needs of the large audience. In this context, Sharjah Radio announced a series of impressive live programmes during the month of September. The programmes will tackle diversified topics targeting different segments of the society.
“An Korb” (Closely)
The programme takes the listeners on an interesting journey to explore different places and events in the Emirate of Sharjah by presenting the hidden aspects and new and exciting information. “An Korb” programme shows different aspects of the Emirate of Sharjah that make it an exciting place for knowledge and exploration. The programme is produced and presented by Maryam Al Ajel and Ahmed Lootah, and is broadcast from Monday to Thursday from 11 to 11:30 am.
“Ala Al Wattar” (on the string)
This programme comes with an innovative dialogue presenting general topics of interest to all segments of society for discussion. It hosts specialists and experts to shed light on the details and various aspects of the topic at hand. The dialogue is open to the public, where listeners can participate and express their opinions and ideas directly. “Ala Al Wattar” is broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 10 pm, and it is produced and presented by Sheikha bin Khamis and Ahmed Lootah.
“Hamzat Wasl” (Link)
For Arabic and literature fans, this programme provides the keys to a deeper understanding of the world of the Arabic language and sheds light on different literature topics. The programme aims to form a knowledge base about the basics and the history of Arabic development, in addition to the rhetorical and aesthetic dimension. “Hamzat Wasl” programme is an opportunity for listeners to explore the world of the language in a deeper and more detailed way, and encourages them to discover new aspects of expression. The programme is produced and presented by Aisha Al Hamoudi and is broadcast every Wednesday from 9 to 10 pm.
“Khalf Al Sitar” (Behind the curtain)
One of the live programmes on Sharjah Radio, which combines the UAE performing arts and dramatic culture, while presenting the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his vision for local, Gulf and Arab theatre; in addition to the achievements of the Arab Theatre Authority in Arab festivals. The programme attracts local and Gulf artists to narrate memories and their works in an enjoyable dialogue. Khalf Al Sitar is broadcast every Tuesday from 9 to 10 pm and is produced and presented by Jamal Al Sumaiti.
“Ayat wa Telawat” (Verses and recitations)
“Ayat wa Telawat” programme represents a spiritual and Quranic station that fills the listeners’ souls with reassurance and teaches them correct recitation. This programme is a unique opportunity to listen and enjoy selected recitations from the Holy Book of God. The programme is presented by Sheikh Diaa Al Suwaidan, who hosts in each episode, one of the imams of mosques, famous for their beautiful recitations. He listens to the recitations of the episode’s guests, memorising the Quran, and he corrects them. The programme is broadcast every Friday evening at 4 o'clock.
“Khair wa Baraka” (Welfare and blessing)
“Khair wa Baraka” programme is a social awareness dialogue programme that addresses important topics related to the elderly, and the role of the Emirate of Sharjah in caring for this group. The programme highlights several aspects such as: the health of the elderly, how to deal with them, and the services provided to them in the Emirate of Sharjah in particular and the UAE, in general. The programme is produces and presented by Yousef Al Hammadi every Saturday between 4:30 and 5:30 pm.
On the other hand, Sharjah Radio has prepared many recorded programmes, such as the sports, heritage, educational, and religious programmes.
Amal Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Director of Sharjah Radio, confirmed that programmes aim to provide educational and entertaining content that achieve continuous communication with the audience.
Al Owais added that production teams at the radio station have done great work in choosing topics and materials that allow our wide audience to enjoy an interesting and exciting radio experience by highlighting programmes related to youth, discussing social and cultural issues, in addition to many surprises that enhance the listening experience.
