Sharjah 24: On the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, Sharjah Contact Centre of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, commended the position that has been given to Emirati women, as they were the first to contribute to the operation of the Sharjah Contact Centre since its inception.
Emirati women were able to consolidate their presence and become a point of strength and the main engine in serving the public.
The United Arab Emirates is one of the most developed and civilised countries in the region and the world, and its sustainable and prosperous achievements are distinguished.
Every year, on August 28th, the United Arab Emirates and its wise leadership celebrate the national occasion: "Emirati Women's Day", to highlight the importance of the "daughter of the Emirates," her honourable position in different fields and her participation in shaping the future for her country and society.
Emirati women in the Emirate of Sharjah enjoy constant appreciation and support thanks to the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, whereas she provided women with many opportunities, initiatives and programmes aiming at highlighting the role of women as a major partner in sustainable development, contributing to achieving the strategic directions of the UAE in different government and society sectors.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, has praised and appreciated Emirati women, and was always keen to encourage them to participate in this occasion by presenting initiatives that enhance their presence in the work environment, whether as leaders or within the work team.
Emirati women assumed a special place in the Sharjah Contact Centre of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, as they were the first to contribute to the operation of the Sharjah Contact Centre since its inception; were able to consolidate their presence; and become a point of strength and the main engine in serving the public.
Emirati women represent 97% of national employees, whereas they occupy different positions and specialisations including customer service, marketing and public relations, development, and technical systems operations.
Emirati women contributed to the achievements of the centre over the past 14 years through participating in external projects and initiatives, organising the Sharjah Contact Centres Forum and promoting the most prominent Government services and tourist attractions in Sharjah.
The centre management was keen to provide the highest levels of support to female employees, and provided many opportunities to hone their talents and skills, and to enable them to perform their role efficiently and competently.
The management also sought to enhance their capabilities and highlight their creativity, by providing the positive environment that resulted in increasing the percentage of female employees who hold university and higher degrees, and the prominence of women who have launched their own projects.
Eng. Khaled Omar Al Naqbi, Director of the Sharjah Contact Centre, congratulated every Emirati woman, wishing her more brilliance and success, stressing that the “daughter of the Emirates” is a fundamental pillar of the development of government work in the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE, making many achievements representing her emirates in national events, and playing a pioneering role in serving the public as the best representative of her country in the contact centre sector.
A number of female leaders and members of the Sharjah Contact Centrte team also shared words of gratitude that included a sense of joy and pride in leaders who support Emirati women and value their efforts.
Khadija Khamis Qasoum Al Naqbi, Head of Public Relations and Marketing Department, confirmed that the words of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, received in the morning of the Emirati Women's Day, were a motivational boost and high moral support.
Professor Najwa Al Hosani, Head of the Quality Department, added that the centre plays a major role in providing a stimulating and attractive environment for production and creativity at work.
Maryam Mubarak Al Hammadi, Head of the Marketing Division, also expressed her pride and joy in the souvenir gifts that were allocated to each female employee on the Emirati Women's Day, representing gratitude and appreciation for their work.
The employee, Aisha Al Hosani, expressed her pride in the position she had reached in her scientific and practical career, as the centre's management contributed to facilitating the completion of her study, and graduated with honours.
Amna Al Naqbi, employee at the centre, stated that the wise leadership was keen to support the working mother by encouraging her motherhood and facilitating the follow-up of the family and children if necessary.
Aisha Al Yahed, employee at the centre, expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the centre’s management in supporting the female employees, raising their awareness and following up on their health.
Siham Al Mesbahi, employee at the centre, added that her presence in the midst of a national women's team makes her proud of her belonging to her workplace and her homeland.
