Sharjah 24: The basketball players of Sharjah clubs has returned from a successful training camp in Turkey, which took place from July 19 to July 30. The camp was under the guidance of the American coach, "Chris Dial," and the coaches from various clubs. It involved the participation of 38 players from different age groups and also included players from other countries.
During the camp, the players underwent daily training sessions held in two periods. Each day, exceptional players from various categories, including juniors and youth players, were selected to motivate them to put forth their utmost efforts and deliver their best performance levels.
The camp was characterised by a high level of enthusiasm among the players and was graced by a visit from Abdullatif Al Fardan, Member of the board of directors of the Sharjah Sports Council and the chairman of the team sports committee.
Mohamed Obaid Al Hussein, the director of the Sports and Development Affairs Department, praised the outstanding basketball camp held in Turkey and commended the players for their great enthusiasm during the daily training sessions.
He highlighted the Sharjah Sports Council's commitment to organising overseas camps to provide players with diverse training opportunities, overseen by foreign experts and with the guidance of coaches from the local clubs. The ultimate goal is to enhance the skills of players from different age groups and enable them to showcase exceptional performances with their respective teams in official competitions.
