Sharjah24: Festivals have been strongly associated with people’s lives in Japan. " Japanese Matsuri" (Matsuri means festival) found its way to join the ladies and children in Sharjah, inviting them to take part in a spectacular and get an insight into the Japanese culture. An event held by The Sharjah Ladies Club at its headquarters on Saturday evening.
Dua’ Al Mahri, Director of Corporate Communications at the Sharjah Ladies Club, explained that the festival came this year as a new summer event targeting ladies and children to learn about Japanese culture in the United Arab Emirates.

She confirmed that the club works day and night to come up with a set of entertaining and beneficial events during the year, targeting all age groups.

Al Mahri added that the festival includes a variety of workshops related to Japanese culture, such as a “Matcha Tea Workshop” for fixing a relaxing Japanese tea, “Ikebana Workshop” to learn the art of flower arrangement, “Kanji Workshop” to explore the beauty and delicacy of Japanese calligraphy, in addition to a Sakura Beach Hat Painting Workshop, decorating summer’s hat with non-other than the famous Japanese sakura flowers.
