Sharjah24: As part of their ongoing efforts to nurture children and young adults, Sharjah Ladies Club is about to launch their annual Mushmis Summer Camps, due to be held at their headquarters and across all eight branches. The camps provide both entertainment and education for children and young ladies.
Between July 3rd and August 28th there will be four separate camps offering varied events programs, including arts and crafts workshops, practical sessions such as cookery, and plenty of exercise groups.
The camps have been tailored to different age groups, and will include a Little Mushmis Camp for those aged 3-5, a Mushmis Arts and Sports Camp for children between the ages of 6 and 10, and a Teens Camp for 11-16-year olds. For girls aged 17 and above or for boys aged 3-8, there will be a Young Adults Summer Camp.
Head of Facilities Operations at Sharjah Ladies Club, Ala Al Shanasi, said: “Our main aim at SLC is to provide a safe environment for children and young adults by providing them with an amazing experience for them to develop their social skills by making new friends, experience new activities, and learn valuable life skills.
Mushmis Camp is a crafted program designed for different age groups, the campers will be able to participate in fun activities such as cooking, swimming, pottery, ice skating, Zumba and many other activities. In addition, they will have a chance to disconnect from technology and utilize their time in new adventures.
As a new addition this year, we are very proud to introduce the adult summer camp which includes Yoga, pottery, Zumba, Calligraphy and many other activities.

Maryam Al Marzouki, Branch Manager of the Al Dhaid branch, said: “Our annual summer camps are a demonstration of our devotion to our community and our commitment to enhance the lifestyle of children and young ladies, by offering them a creative outlet over the summer holidays. We are launching a wide range of activities and special events, which helps empower and equip the participants in gaining valuable life skills that boosts their confidence towards achieving their goals.”
As well as giving girls and young women practical know-how, she added, these camps will provide physical fitness activities such as swimming, which are designed to improve their overall health and their understanding of the importance of fitness.
She went on to say: “The Mushmis Summer Camps cater to all age groups, taking into consideration their interests and maturity levels. We have a fun-packed schedule that includes cooking workshops at Marasi Restaurant, talks and creative sessions such as gardening at Ibdaa Talent Center and reading groups at the Reading Room.”
All children’s summer camps will be open between 9:00am to 3:00pm and the Adult Summer Camp will be between 10:00am to 12:00pm.
