The workshop was presented by specialists from the Department of Agriculture and Gardens in Al Hamriyah Municipality, inrtoducing participants to the importance of agriculture as well as to many concepts related to the agricultural process, organic fertilisers, appropriate agricultural environment, types of seedlings, planting times, as well as introducing them to types of Ghaf seedlings, almond trees and types of ornamental seedlings. .
Participants of the agricultural workshop were introduced to the profession of agriculture, types of plants, plants characteristics, seasons of cultivation, as well as methods of irrigating and caring for plants. They were also introduced to the most important steps that must be followed in the cultivation process, including the selection of soil suitable for cultivation, the appropriate season, and the manufacture of organic fertiliser at home.
The organisers of the agricultural workshop explained the importance of organic fertilisers free of chemicals, in terms of their advantages that contribute to improving the properties of the soil, and great benefits in agriculture, given that it is one of the elements of natural and safe nutrition for plants.
Participants acquired the skill of making organic fertilisers, benefiting from household organic waste, turning them into fertilisers for plants, caring for plants until they mature, in addition to preserving green spaces, and making use of empty spaces in homes.
