Sharjah 24: The Dean’s Office for Student Affairs at Al Qasimia University, represented by the Female Students Section, has organised an intense summer programme of activities and events targeting university students residing in the dormitory.
The launch of the summer camp was followed up by His Excellency Prof. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, as a continuation of the university’s efforts to train students, benefit from their summer vacation, and build their personalities in all aspects of culture, science, knowledge, knowledge, and tourism.
The summer camp will continue until August, with a number of programmes that enrich and develop students’ knowledge, capabilities and skills in all fields especially those related to the country's society and values.
The summer camp provides opportunities for acquiring experiences and continuous learning, especially with the partnerships established by the Dean’s Office for Student Affairs with a number of government entities to support the implementation of a number of programmes that meet the needs of female students in cultural, artistic, recreational, scientific and heritage tracks.
In this regard, female students participated in a number of training workshops, lectures and panel discussions that were convened over the past period.
The students learned about manual skills organised by the Maharah Centre (Skill Centre) and the university studio, in addition to courses in self-development and courses in promoting mental health.
The summer camp taught students the Emirati etiquette, and several aspects of the UAE’s heritage, ancient history, lifestyles, customs and traditions, which was an opportunity for the students to acquire a comprehensive view of the customs and heritage of the UAE.
Ahlam bin Jarash, Assistant Director for Female Student Affairs and General Supervisor of the Summer Camp, shed light on the quality of the programmes that are offered throughout the weeks of the camp, which reflects the vision of the founder of Al Qasimia University, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in providing activities that fill the lives of students with happiness.
Ahlam bin Jarash explained that the summer camp was launched, after an integrated plan of events was prepared, and attention was paid to all programmes that enrich students in all aspects of their lives, develop their abilities, and qualify them for the future, so that students would accept them with great care and interest.
Bin Jarash pointed out that such events provided a distinguished platform to enable female students to volunteer and read, broaden their perceptions and help them explore their abilities and talents.
