SDAL plans to develop a sustainable agricultural environment

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock (SDAL) plans to develop a sustainable agricultural environment. Sharjah 24 news website offered a real window to get close to the event by interviewing Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji, Head of SDAL, who spared no efforts to shed light on the event.
SDAL has signed a cooperation agreement with several government departments to facilitate farmers services, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji, Head of SDAL, announced the signing of "supporting the agricultural products", and "supporting productive farms" in Sharjah agreement, with Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA), the Department of Municipalities Affairs, the Sharjah Co-operative Society and Sharjah Asset Management Company, the investment arm of the government. Sharjah, at the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club.

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji confirmed that the agreement includes several advantages, including supporting water and electricity pricing and agricultural extension services for farmers, in order to facilitate services for farmers and encourage them to increase food production.

His Excellency Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tunaiji added that focusing on farmers and facilitating services aims to promote farmers’ work from traditional to sustainable and modern style. He concluded that products and farms are granted sustainability and organic products certificates.
