Sharjah 24: Al Qasimi Publications participated in the Doha International Book Fair, which kicked off, on Monday, in the Qatari capital, Doha, as part of an intensive programme aimed to support writers and enhance the presence of the publications of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The Doha International Book Fair, which runs until June 21, is one of the important international cultural events in the Arab Gulf region, which is in line with the vision of the countries of the region that aims to develop a knowledge economy; in addition to that, it reflects the state of the country's cultural scene. 

The fair focuses on the publishing and book industry, while printing, paper and digital publishing technologies are reviewed and promoted, and its current edition is being held with the participation of 287 direct and 450 indirect exhibitors from 51 countries, which constitutes a rich opportunity to promote the publications of Emirati publications and writers participating at the event.
