Sharjah 24: A 70-year-old citizen patient who had been in a critical condition due to a congenital defect since birth was successfully treated by the Cardiac Center at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, affiliated to the Emirates Health Services (EHS).
The surgery was conducted through a live broadcast during the Gulf Catheterization Conference, which was held at the Conrad Hotel Dubai, and was attended by a large number of GCC and international experts.
According to Dr. Arif Al Nooryani, Chief Executive Officer at Al Qassimi Hospital, the procedure was carried out using a new medical device, based on the modern “Safi” wire technology for the first time in the Middle East, with the support of the Emirates Health Services, performing three functions.
