Sharjah24: Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Police Science Academy in Sharjah and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Future Readiness Award stated that according to the criteria for readiness and proactivity, nine approved studies that meet the Award's goals and simulate the future have been chosen.
Under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Community Development and His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police honoured Thursday at Sharjah Police, the winners of the first edition of the Future Readiness Award, being organised by the Sharjah Police in cooperation with the Academy of Police Sciences.
The ceremony was held in the presence of general managers and a number of officials at the federal and local levels, and representatives of universities, research institutes and houses of expertise locally and globally.
Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director-General of the Sharjah Police Science Academy and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the award, indicated that the award aims to create the future in light of the existence of all challenges within seven basic topics that were raised by the participants, including the societal, institutional or individual level.
Al Othmani continued that nine of the winners were honoured, after categorising the 184 involved research, all of them are in the interest of developing security services in various fields.
Brigadier General Al Othmani emphasized at the conclusion of his speech that the award provided researchers, research institutions, centers, and institutions of future foresight with the opportunity to participate in presenting a vision of the future of security work in accordance with contemporary foresight standards and mechanisms.
