Sharjah24: Dr. Hussein Mohammed Al Mahdi, Dean of Academic Support Services at the University of Sharjah and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Third Conference of Arab-Russian University Presidents, revealed that the conference will host the presidents of 62 Russian universities and 150 Arab universities representing 21 countries. The conference is under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah.
In statements to "Sharjah 24," he added that the conference will commence on March 31st and will last for two days at the University of Sharjah and Darat Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, stressing that this is the first event of its kind at the national and regional levels.
He made note that the conference focuses on four main axes. The first axis covers the creation of rules for university-level student exchange, general activities, and scientific research. The second axis focuses on the investigation of cooperative scientific research projects in order to reach agreements on particular projects.
In order for universities to agree on precise requirements for academic accreditation and for student transfers across institutions, he continued, the third axis is focused on academic ranking and accreditation. The last axis discusses artificial intelligence and digital transformation in education and learning, and its role in the teaching process or in other accompanying processes.
