Sharjah 24: In an interview with “Sharjah 24”, Dr. Nina Heydemann, Director of Maraya Art Centre and 1971 - Design Space, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), highlighted the exhibition "Liquid Light" by British artist Chris Wood.
Wood's commissioned artwork on Al Noor Island, which focuses on butterfly migratory patterns, is on display during his first solo show in Sharjah. Dichroic material, which refracts light to generate vivid hues, has become synonymous with Wood's work.
Light as Medium is on view from now through June 30, 2023, while the commissioned artwork "Flutter" will be on display indefinitely. Wood's stunning artwork has a mesmerising perform of light and colour, and visitors are encouraged to take in the show.
