During the meeting, the achievements of the past year were discussed, along with performance indicators of the working teams, and the developmental plans for launching awareness campaigns, programmes, and future projects in support of kidney patients.
The meeting, chaired by Mona Al Hawai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Kidney Patients and a representative from the Ministry of Community Development and members of the association's board of directors.
The meeting included discussions on the association's initiatives and programmes for the upcoming period, as well as ways to develop operational mechanisms to enhance public awareness of kidney diseases, their symptoms, and treatment methods. The association's budget for the next year was also discussed.
Al Hawai highlighted that the Friends of Kidney Patients has successfully become a supportive partner in promoting health awareness in the Emirate of Sharjah, achieving numerous accomplishments and introducing several quality initiatives during 2022 in line with the directives and visions of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
