Sharjah 24: At the Vice President's Cup Championship, which took place in Dubai from May 12–14, the Al Hamriyah Athletics Team brought home a grand total of six medals, including one gold, four silvers, and a bronze.
Jamal Abdel Nasser, a member of the team, won the gold medal in the youth category of the 3000-metre steeplechase.
Ahmed Issa Saleh, one of the four silver medalists, broke his own record in the junior category of the 400-metre sprint by finishing in 53.77 seconds.
Ammar Mohammed Hassan won silver in both the 200-metre sprint and the long jump. Yahya Mohammed Saad won the silver medal in the youth category 200-metre hurdles competition.
In addition, Ahmed Issa Saleh set an all-time record of 23.50 seconds when he won bronze in the junior category of the 200-metre sprint.
