Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Cultural Awards Forum will be held in its thirteenth edition in Egypt for the fourth time on 11th May. The event aims to honour new Egyptian cultural figures, including literary critic Ahmed Shams El-Din El-Haggagi, poet Mohamed Zakaria Enany, novelist and short story writer Jar Alnabi El Helou, and novelist Abdou Mohamed Abdou.
Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Head of Sharjah Department of Culture, said that the Sharjah Cultural Awards Forum, which started in Egypt, returns there for the fourth time in a new cultural celebration that emphasizes the importance of what Egyptian writers offer to the Arab cultural scene. It is an opportunity to meet the honorees and appreciate their literary and cultural achievements through the forum.
Al Owais added that the Sharjah Cultural Awards Forum creates a unique honorary situation that has its own specificity and significance to celebrate Arab intellectuals. This is a vision established by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to complete what the Sharjah Cultural Project started decades ago under the patronage of Arab writers and authors and to appreciate their efforts in serving Arab culture.
