Sharjah24: The Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence Committee, along with councils of students and parents, will hold a press conference to announce the launch of the 29th cycle of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence on Monday, May 8th at 11:00 am. The conference will take place at the Beit Al-Hikmah in Sharjah in the Rashid Hall.

The award is held annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.

In the previous cycle, the award introduced the Al Jawhara Award in addition to the existing categories, namely Outstanding Individuals, Institutions, and Teams categories. The Outstanding Individuals category includes the Outstanding Teacher, Educational Leader, Student, Support Staff, and Parent categories. The Outstanding Institutions category includes the Outstanding Nursery, School, and Educational Partnerships and Supporting Institutions categories. Lastly, the Outstanding Teams category includes the Institutional Team, Student Council, Joint Team, and Parents Council categories. 

Al Jawhara is dedicated to celebrate an outstanding figure who has individual achievements and initiatives that have a significant impact in the educational field.
The award sets an example for others in excellence, dedication, and giving, and it witnessed significant participation in the previous cycle, with the number of participants reaching 1328 participants, an increase of 40% from the previous year, with 38 of them winning the award.
