The council's involvement is meant to highlight its efforts to improve community sports and boost tourism in the Emirate.
The council will join a number of Sharjah's entities and institutions under the umbrella of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority.
There are expected to be about 34,000 attendees, representing 1,500 firms from 140 countries. Connecting with other worldwide organisations is another way the council may get closer to its goals.
Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, said, "Sports are pillars of culture, economy, trade, and tourism in the Emirate, and expressed his pleasure in participating for the second time in this significant event.
