Sharjah24: Al Khalidiya Suburb Council affiliated to Districts and Villages Affairs Department (DVAD) continued its charitable work by supporting the flood victims in Pakistan by launching the "We are with you" initiative, which is the first of its kind at the council level in charitable work outside the country.
Al Khalidiya Suburb Council provided 1080 pieces, including covers and pillows for sleeping, aiming in securing the necessary and urgent needs for the affected people.
The council handed over the donated materials to the Sharjah Charity International, in the presence of His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Khalfan Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, and several dignitaries.
The aid provided to stand with the people of Pakistan came as a charity on behalf of the people of the suburb within the council's permanent charitable initiatives and in the context of humanitarian work.
The council handed over the donated materials to the Sharjah Charity International, to be delivered through official channels to Pakistan.
His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri stressed the importance of this initiative, in line with the Council’s keenness to ensure its charitable and humanitarian roles, translating the vision of the wise leadership to provide a helping hand to the brothers in Pakistan and stand.
In conclusion, Al-Marri thanked the Sharjah Charity International’s delegation, extending thanks to its chairman and members, lauding their charitable and humanitarian work.
