Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has started receiving financial contributions to the “Joy of Eid” initiative from those wishing to participate and bring joy to the hearts of 3,000 children who benefit from its services, children who lack social care, and children of the homes affiliated with the department, in both the Emirate of Sharjah and its cities in Al Hamriyah, Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Mleiha, Al Madam, Al Batayeh, Kalba and Dibba Al Hisn.

Maryam Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Branches Affairs and responsible for the "Joy of Eid" initiative, stated that the initiative falls under a series of community projects implemented by the department on an annual basis, so the contributors to it are from all segments of society in addition to government agencies.
