Sharjah24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) announced the conclusion of its preparations to welcome the holy month of Ramadan with various plans and goals to ensure an ideal environment that reflects the atmosphere of faith in this month, through intensifying control over markets and food and commercial establishments, monitoring any negative behaviours that cause harm or inconvenience to members of society.
The Municipality has also scheduled the working hours for its various departments, especially those that provide direct services to the public.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of the Municipality of Sharjah, confirmed that the Municipality has completed its preparation to receive the blessed month of Ramadan by assigning dedicated work teams and inspectors to work around the clock and provide services to the public, enhancing the emirate's position as an attractive environment for living.

He added that the Municipality will also intensify its ongoing monitoring, inspection and awareness campaigns throughout the year.

Sharjah Municipality has announced that businesses in the emirate will need special permits from the Control and Inspection Department to extend working hours during Ramadan.

The Director General of the Municipality indicated that the calculation of public parking fees during the month of Ramadan will start from 8 AM until 12 PM.

The parking surrounding mosques will be free for an hour from the call to prayer, to facilitate the public.

The municipality also announced the Sharjah City Parks’ opening hours. The parks will be open all days of the week from 4pm to 12am (midnight).

Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, confirmed that the Municipality has set working hours for its service centers to ensure its continuous services for the public.
