Sharjah24: The Sharjah Municipality (SM) has announced the start of issuing permits to extend work until midnight in Ramadan for commercial establishments operating in the city, with the aim of organizing the work of these establishments in accordance with the required conditions and approved laws.
Building on that, Khalifa Bughanim Al-Suwaidi, Acting Director of the Control and Inspection Department, affirmed that the issuance of these permits takes place through the municipality's website, where the customer can enter the site and choose "our electronic and smart services", then choose "Services of the Control and Inspection Department" and apply for a permit service then choose work during the nights of the month of Ramadan and follow the required steps and upload the necessary documents to issue the permit.
Khalifa Boughanem Al-Suwaidi stated that this permit does not include contracting companies that work after 12 o'clock at night on construction sites, as restaurants, bakeries and cafeterias are also entitled to work after midnight without obtaining this permit. He emphasised that this issuance aims to provide services to public until late hours of the night in Ramadan.
He explained that the municipality has allocated a team of inspectors to follow up the concerned establishments and ensure that the necessary permits are issued to carry out work, in addition to intensifying inspection visits to monitor any negative behaviors with the aim of providing an ideal environment during the days of the holy month, and enhancing the civilized and aesthetic appearance of the emirate.
