Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) was honoured with the Distinguished Institution Award in the Field of Orphans' Care in 2023 for its presentation of a working paper on the youth social project "House Support" at the Fourth International Conference on Orphans' Care in Bahrain, which had a special emphasis on innovation in social investment projects in institutions caring for Arab orphans. This award was presented to the foundation in recognition of all that it has done to help orphans and their families.
The working paper of the foundation covered a broad variety of subjects, including the foundation's purpose and services, as well as the "House Support" initiative, which intended to create an all-encompassing practical strategy.
"We want to be there for such an important event," said Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, the Foundation's Director General. "It is a pioneering and significant location that draws a diverse range of orphan care institutions, enriches experiences, and supports the route of institutional work and efforts targeted at accomplishing distinguished programmes and services for orphans."
She described receiving the Distinguished Institutions Award in the area of orphan care in 2023 as a tremendous honour, as it recognised the foundation's efforts to be a pioneer in the field of orphan care.
The Foundation has been inspired by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wise vision to provide all the elements that guarantee a respectable living for them and their families, as well as complete care for them.
