Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Police is participating in the activities of the 20th edition of the Sharjah Heritage Days, which started Wednesday evening in the Heritage area in the heart of Sharjah, and is organised by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage until March 21, under the theme "Heritage and Creativity".
The police pavilion highlights the stages of development that the Sharjah Police has gone through since its establishment in 1967, and its rich police heritage and security march. The pavilion will also witness for the first time the "Police Memory Base", which allows visitors to experience the beginnings of the Sharjah Police, the mechanisms and collectibles that were used 50 years ago, in addition to displaying many artifacts and crafts for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Institution in Sharjah, as well as organising a package of activities for various segments of society, including festival’s field tours organised by the community police in a classic vehicle.
Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Al Dhahouri, Head of Public Relations Department at Sharjah Police, confirmed the Sharjah Police’s keenness to participate in this annual heritage wedding, due to the great interest and support it witnesses from the wise government, praising the efforts made by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in organising this annual festival, which is an opportunity for partners and various parties to participate in order to achieve common goals in protecting national identity, deepening national awareness of the importance of cultural heritage in the nation's civilisation and transmitting it to future generations.
