Sharjah 24: According to Mohammed Ali Al Mazmi, Control Room Engineer at the SRTA's Traffic Engineering Section, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) exhibits its innovative projects, such as "asphalt recycling" and "solar-powered traffic lights," during UAE Innovation Month, "UAE Innovates."
Engineer Mohammed Al-Mazmi stated to "Sharjah 24" that the solar-powered traffic lights project was applied to Al-Taawun Square in Sharjah and that it is the first of its kind in the governorate and the only one in the country. Because they do not use energy, these lights are ecologically friendly.
