Sharjah Club receives archery champions

Sharjah24: Sharjah Sports Club, representing the Individual Games Department, received UAE shooting team delegation returning from the Arab Republic of Egypt after participating in the Arab Air Shooting Championship (pistol - rifle).
The UAE national team, in the junior category , won the gold medal and first place in the Arab Championship that took place under the supervision of the Egyptian Shooting Federation and with the participation of 12 countries (Bahrain, Iraq, Yemen, Tunisia, Oman, Libya, Syria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Sudan, Egypt).

Mohammed Kamel Al Kaabi and Abdullah Saif, led the UAE national team to achieve the gold medal in the 10-meter pistol, with their colleague Abdullah Al Ali, player of Al Dhaid Club, in the tournament that took place in the international shooting range in the International Olympic City.

The star of the club and the national team, Abdullah Saif, won the bronze medal in the junior singles competition, for the 10-meter pistol weapon, in addition to the women winning a bronze medal, raising the collected medals to 3 .

On this occasion, Eng. Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Al-Hajri congratulated the members of the mission on the achievement, which confirms the ability of the Emirati people to compete with adults and climb the podiums, indicating that the UAE is full of talents and distinguished people in individual games, who will have a great deal in the near future.

Al-Hajri said: "It is a matter of pride for our children to be able to raise the flag of UAE in foreign forums, affirming that is the directive of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to work to raise the flag of the Emirates in all external participations, emphasising that the Sharjah Club works with all individual sports federations to implement this vision."

The head of the individual games praised the role of the Shooting Federation headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hasher Al Maktoum for its efforts in raising the level of club players, adding: We were also pleased with the result of the Emirates team, we are pleased with the performance of our players who succeeded in leading the team to achieve this achievement that will be written in the United Arab Emirates' memory , adding that the club's main goal is to provide the country's teams with the best elements to achieve success and to confirm the status and reputation that the Emirates have now enjoyed,  affirming the role of the Sharjah Sports Council in supporting our national players in honorable representation outside the country.

The reception was attended by Hind Al Hosani, member of the Board of Directors of the UAE Shooting Federation, from the Sharjah Sports Club, Engineer Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri, Head of the Individual Games Department, Abdul Rahman Al Melehi, Game Supervisor, and Ali Hassan, Director of the Department.
