Sharjah24: The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) announced the launch of the second phase of its qualitative programme “Etqan”, which successfully completed its first phase, targeting 36 private schools.
The launching of the second phase was announced during a meeting attended by Dr. Muhadtha Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, Ziad Shatat, Director of the Continuous Improvement Department - Project Manager, a number of department directors from the authority, and a group of experts.

Dr. Muhaddithah Al-Hashemi, affirmed that second phase would begin in January and last until March, targeting 74 schools, as the first phase, which ran from October to November of last year targeted 36 schools. The first phase achieved remarkable success, as evaluation results reflected the positive feedback, which will ultimately help achieve the main objective of raising the educational system to record levels of development.

Her Excellency continued, "These results are reflection of the most notable educational practices pursued by private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah, which highlight their commitment to improvement agendas,  noting that the evaluation results are typically sent to schools within a maximum of 4 weeks, while they are made to the public before the end of the current academic year in order to provide a suitable time for parents to choose the appropriate school for their children.

In turn, His Excellency Mr. Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Authority, explained that “Etqan”, and in view of its results in the first phase, has now become the most prominent tool that leads to the improvement of the educational system and the development of its methods through a comprehensive review of the quality of performance of private schools in Sharjah, confirming that this motivates private schools to innovate qualitative educational tools and systems.
