Al Qasimia University celebrates graduation of 124 students

Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Jamal Salim AL Turaifi, President of Al Qasimia University (AQU), handed graduation certificates to the fourth cohort of university students.
The 2022/2023 graduation ceremony was held Thursday morning at the Al Qasimia University Theatre in the presence of members of the Board of Trustees, the university president, vice presidents, deans of colleges, members of the academic and administrative bodies, and a group of invitees, ambassadors, consuls and attachés accredited to the UAE.

The number of graduates of the fourth cohort reached 124 male and female students representing 34 nationalities in the university’s five faculties: College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, College of Arts and Human Sciences, College of Economics and Management, College of Communication and College of the Holy Quran.

AL Turaifi gave a speech in which he highlighted Al Qasimia University’s achievements since its establishment with the unlimited support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. He then congratulated the graduates, their families and their countries, wishing them a journey full of achievements.

In his speech on the occasion, Prof. Awad Husain AlKhalaf, Chancellor of AQU congratulated the graduates of the fourth batch of the fall semester for the academic year 2022/2023 for their success in passing the academic requirements during their study period, and, in their name, he  congratulated His Highness for his constant support.

After that, President of Al Qasimia University honoured the graduate, Ayman Hassani, from Kosovo, for winning the ‘Al Qasimia University Award for Distinguished Graduate’, which is one of the university's latest initiatives to develop the efforts of graduate students in serving their countries to be ambassadors of the university.

Then the graduate student, Hamza Dumbia, from the College of Arts, gave the graduates’ speech in which he, on behalf of the graduates, thanked His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his support to the university and the students.
