Sharjah 24: The activities of the 21st edition "Sharjah World Championships Week 2022", kicked off, with the participation of 10 international teams from different countries on the picturesque Khalid Lagoon Khalid in Sharjah.
Essam Mohamed Khalifa, Director of Events and Projects Department at the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, confirmed the completion of the preparations for the championship.
Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, Essam Mohammed stated that the championship lasts for 3 days, starting Thursday, and there are free rounds for the contestants; the first race, which is the "break the Kilo World Record", begins at 4:00 pm, and on Friday there are free rounds and a review round for F1 boats, at 2:45, and the second day ends with the " The Road to Sharjah Grand Prix”.
The Director of Events and Projects Department added that on Saturday there will be "Afforestation of Al-Manthar 2 Reserve" campaign in Al Batayeh area, where all contestants and the technical and administrative staff will attend to participate in planting Ghaf trees to preserve the environment and raise the percentage of afforestation in desert areas.
Essam Mohammed Khalifa indicated that Sunday is the closing day of the activities of the "Sharjah World Championships Week 2022 which includes two final races, which are the "Second Kilo Break Race for F1 Boats", and the "Road to Sharjah" race titled "The Middle East Grand Prix for F1 Boats", after which the winners will be honored.
