Tarqan family revives childhood memories at SEF

Sharjah 24: Artist Tariq Al-Arabi starring in Tarqan and Sons play headlined a beautiful cultural and artistic evening Saturday, the day three of the Sharjah Events Festival, organised by the Sharjah Events portal of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. The Sharjah Events Festival witnessed wide participation of a number of government and private institutions and agencies from across the Emirate.
The cultural event attracted a large number of families and visitors generating feelings of nostalgia, longing and passions for the past and traditions.

The audience interacted with the artist Tariq Al-Arabi, the maker of childhood memories of generations in the 1980s and 1990s, who presented with his sons Dima, Tala and Muhammad a lyrical synthesis of the most famous cartoon series shown on the Future Youth Channel, "Spacetoon". It enjoyed huge popularity from the ocean to the Gulf with the sound of Tarqan, which continues to live in the memories of Arab children for nearly 30 years.

The audience interacted with great enthusiasm with the characters of the cartoon series "Babar Vail", "Fulla", "Remy", "Captain Majid", "Suqour Al-Ard", "Hazeem Al-Ra'ad" and others, as the event took the audience back to their childhood memories with elegant music and songs celebrating the values of virtue and humanity, cooperation and affection, perseverance and patriotism.

Interactive platforms
The second edition of the Sharjah Events Festival continued to attract huge crowds with its various activities and programmes with the participation of various government and private agencies that attract children and families through their platforms. The Sharjah Heritage Institute, within the framework of reviving and preserving the unified community memory, presented a rich cultural experience, shining the light on the heritage, customs and traditions of the UAE and introducing young people to their proud legacy and the times of their grandparents.

Sharjah Events also supported children's talents and skills, with workshops organised by the Sharjah Education Council, on photography, handicrafts and rose cultivation.

The Sharjah Driving Institute introduced children, through its participation in the festival, to traffic rules in order to promote community culture in safety measures and risk prevention.

The Sharjah International Airport Authority and Air Arabia presented an opportunity for festival visitors to simulate the experience of traveling and driving an airplane.

The Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) introduced the Sharjah Safari experience for festival visitors. It shined the light on a number of African animals through interactive games and drawing and colouring activities.

The Sharjah Marine Sports Club platform conducted rowing boat competitions and a canoe show. The Sharjah Formula 1 team, which has achieved huge successs during its participation in international races was also in the spotlight.

The Sharjah Events Festival wrapped up on Sunday after four successful days of joy and wholesome fun and entertainment for the whole family, with a number of artistic and musical performances, competitions and mobile shows lighting up the Al Majaz Amphitheatre and attracting thousands of families and visitors.
