Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University (AQU), represented by the College of Communication, is organising its fourth 'International Student Media Forum;, titled ‘Digital Media and National Identity’, with the theme, ‘Our Identity, Our Responsibility’, on Wednesday, 23rd of November at the university’s headquarters.
The forum will have the participation of elite media professionals at the level of the UAE and the Arab world.
The convening of the forum this year comes after it has taken great strides towards expanding the participation of students of the faculties of communication and media after holding three previous editions.
The current edition of the forum comes with a wide student participation of 568 male and female students from more than 12 countries, with a total of 32 universities and academic and research institutions.
In the context of preparing for the forum, the committee of the forum received a number of research and graduation projects amounting to 74 works.
The graduation projects category was 51 participants, which reflect the students’ achievements, whether in the areas of documentaries, website design, printed newspapers, radio and television programmes, public relations campaigns and advertisements.
