Sharjah24: Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Hammadi, a preacher of the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs, stated that, following the Prophet’s sunnah and implementing the orders of the President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, prayer for rain (Salaat al Istisqaa) was performed at all mosques across the UAE after Friday prayer.

In exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, Al Hammadi indicated that the rain prayer is a sunnah in times of calamity, such as drought, and it is recommended to pray to God and seek forgiveness and repentance.
