Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) approved, during its third session, chaired by Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Council, several proposals submitted by the council's members on the Consultative Council establishment law.
Held on Thursday morning at the SCC’s headquarters, the session was as part of its work for the fourth ordinary session of the tenth legislative term.

The agenda included a discussion of the submitted proposals on Law No. (3) of 1999 regarding the establishment of the Sharjah Consultative Council and the report that contained the proposals submitted by the Committee on Legal and Legislative Affairs and Appeals, Suggestions and Complaints of the SCC.

Abdullah Murad Mirza, the Rapporteur of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, read out the report on the proposals regarding the Law No. 3 of 1999 of the council's establishment and its amendments, which were prepared by the committee based on what it received from the council's committees over the past period.

The members discussed all the proposed amendments in terms of the council's legislative and oversight role and the provisions and legal articles it contains regulating the work of the council and its members.

The members presented several suggestions that would enable the law to support the council's role.

The council approved, after discussion,  adding members' proposals to Law No. (3) of 1999 regarding establishing the SCC and its amendments in its third session.

At the end of the session, Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, the Secretary-General of the Council, made an announcement of the fourth session, which will be held on November 17, to discuss the draft amendments to the law of the Sharjah Education Council.
